14-free. What is it about?
Common nail polishes usually contain substances that are very toxic for the human organism. These include toluene, formaldehyde, phthalates, xylene solvent, parabens… Some of these are even on the list of highly hazardous substances. You inhale these chemicals when painting your nails and once painted, they can be absorbed through the nail beds and enter your body. And if you tend to bite your nail when nervous, you even ingest these dubious substances.
There are no 100% natural nail polishes on the market yet. However, thanks to such brands as Kia Charlotta, you can avoid no fewer than 14 of the most toxic chemicals found in mainstream nail polishes. Specifically, they are phthalates (including dibutyl phthalate (DBP), diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP)), toluene (also methylbenzene), xylene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, ethyl tosylamide, triphenyl phosphate, rosin resin, halogenated organic compounds (AOX), parabens, silicones, synthetic fragrances and animal ingredients. The polish does not contain any microplastics.
Application:
- Apply 2-3 thin coats.
- For the maximum long-lasting results, apply a base coat and a transparent top coat to finish.
- To remove the nail polish, ideally choose a natural nail polish remover.
