Product detailed description

This Medicine Magic blend combines gently processed certified cacao beans from South American farmers with the power of seven adaptogenic mushrooms. These are the mushrooms you will find in it:

  •   Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus),
  •  Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum),
  •  Chaga (Inonotus obliquus),
  • Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor),
  • Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis),
  • Agaricus (Agaricus blazei),
  • Maitake (Grifola frondosa).

A cup of cacao can enhance every one of your morning or evening rituals or a group ceremony.

Cacao as a complex superfood

Cacao beans contain plenty of active compounds with stimulating effects - they bring about a pleasant state of alertness. They nourish the body with a helping of minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, and iron, and provide B group vitamins, vitamins C and E, as well as healthy fats, and the important alkaloid theobromine. At the same time, cacao contains 3 times more flavonoids than green tea. You might also be interested to know that shamans used to use cacao beans to ward off negativity, induce euphoric states, and connect with the energy of one’s centre - the heart energy.

What do adaptogenic mushrooms do for the body?

Traditional Chinese medicine swears by adaptogenic mushrooms, and so do we. And now you can also explore their exceptional qualities with every cup!

  • Lion’s Mane is a versatile mushroom that has been part of Chinese medicine from time immemorial. It is referred to as the natural food of the neurons and has even been dubbed the “mushroom of the 21st century”. Some of its notable compounds include threitol, D-arabinitol, and palmitic acid.
  • Reishi, the “divine mushroom of immortality”, contains a number of polysaccharides, especially beta glucans that harmonise the immune system and have a beneficial effect on blood cholesterol levels. Your body’s natural defences will also be supported by the presence of triterpenes.
  • Another “mushroom of immortality”, chaga, is also rich in polysaccharides. Its main benefit is due to the presence of betulin and betulin acid, which it gets from birch, its host tree. We mustn’t forget to mention its beneficial phenols and phenolic compounds, the strong antioxidant melanin, and a number of group B vitamins, vitamin D, and beta carotene. Minerals and trace elements are also present, among them magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, sopper, zinc, manganese, and the antioxidant germanium.
  • Another mushroom, Cordyceps, contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory polysaccharides as well. At the same time, it is rich in nucleosides, steroles, vitamins B1, B2, and K, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and selenium.

Unfortunately, we can’t reveal anything else about the health benefits and other mushrooms due to current EU legislation regarding dietary supplements which prevents us from expanding on the above information. However, a whole range of scientific studies have already been devoted to adaptogenic mushrooms so try googling non-eCommerce websites for more detailed information.
